The problem
Why did this need to exist?
South Africa has a serious chilli scene. It just wasn't visible anywhere.
Scattered
Events lived on ticketing sites, Facebook Events pages, and organiser websites. Vendors lived on Instagram. Markets lived on farm websites and local Facebook groups. None of it was in one place.
Invisible
Great vendors — skilled makers, passionate growers, serious sauce artists — were impossible to find unless you already knew who to follow.
Unmapped
No one had built the map showing where markets were, which vendors traded there, and which festivals were coming up nearby. So we did.

We don't sell your data. POPIA and decency, in that order.
We collect what we need to run the platform and nothing more. We will never sell it, broker it, or share it with advertisers.
Featured placement is clearly labelled. No hidden ranking deals.
If a listing has paid for enhanced visibility, it says so. Organic results are earned, not bought.
Reviews are real. We won't remove negative ones because someone paid us.
We moderate for authenticity and decency — but a 2-star review from a real customer stays, regardless of whether that vendor has a paid plan.
Our story
Started by chilli lovers. Built for the whole scene.
"We kept missing festivals because we didn't know they were happening."
Word reached us too late — a shared Instagram story three days after the event, or a tip from someone who'd been at the festival that morning. There had to be a better way.
So a group of chilli enthusiasts decided to build it. Not a neglected spreadsheet — a real platform for the whole South African chilli community: growers who ship nationwide, sauce makers trading at Neighbourgoods, organisers running the Joburg Chilli Festival, and the home grower trying Carolina Reapers for the first time.
